Due to the vulnerability of humans and in particular of the most defenseless such as babies, the elderly, disabled people, etc., during the development of a fire in the home in the 70s, Federal Legislation imposed the use of safe clothing to sleep. The nightwear was demanded to have a retarding effect for combustion and increased flames. This measure was successful in reducing deaths and injuries from fire overnight by 97 percent.
Recommendations:
The garment during sleep must not exceed the maximum dimensions specified for the chest, waist, seat, upper arm, thigh, wrist or ankle.
That it does not have ornaments or ornaments that extend more than ¼ inch from the point where it is attached.
Have sleeves that taper from the shoulder to the ends of the sleeves.
They must have trouser legs that taper from the waist to the bottom of the legs.
If the nightwear is one piece, it should be narrowed from the chest to the waist and the seat to the center. In other words, it must be tight, avoiding as much as possible the movement of oxygen between the skin and the fiber.
Check the labels before buying clothes, businesses are required to report the quality of sleepwear and comply with federal laws.
Wear special sleepwear, stop wearing old or everyday clothes to protect yourself while you sleep.
